So, it goes without saying that the swankiest pool parties are just the norm in such places.
But, what happens when the swimming pools go out of order owing to the onslaught of atmospheric pollutants that clog the drains and stain the walls? Surely, just cleaning the pool up in such a case will hardly suffice. And you will have to give pool-remodeling a considerable thought.
And, if you’re thinking just that, then let us get to know each other well!
We are the Central OC Pools, we’ll take adequate care of your Fountain Valley pool services like remodeling, plastering, cleaning and more!
And here are all the reasons why you should get in touch with us right now!
About the location
Fountain Valley consists of several upper-middle-class residential colonies that enjoy the benefits of its lush natural surroundings. It has the Huntington Beach on the south and the west, and the Santa Ana River lying on its eastern border.
The communities here engage in several recreational events and sports such as racquetball and tennis, to mention a couple.
With so much going on, the concentration of dust and debris affecting the air and water can be expected to remain high up.
Swimming pools in such areas get a lot of these pollutants settling in them. These cause both pathogenic and corrosive reactions in your pool.
This compromises the mechanisms of the pool, which makes it necessary to remodel and redesign the overall pool structure.
When should you consider remodeling your pool?
Although the scenic beauty of Fountain Valley is overwhelming to the senses, it can mess up your pool systems really fast.
Here are all the things that should raise red flags for you to consider remodeling your pool right away.
1. Algal and bacterial infestation
The infestation of algae in the pool water is, for the most part, unavoidable. It breeds quickly and grows fast enough for you to miss its initial presence. This clogs swimming pool drains and pipelines, aiding bacterial growth. Not only does this damage the surface of the pool by invading the structure, but it also poses an immense risk to your family’s health.
These can cause your pool water to stagnate and become a hotbed for pathogens.
So, if you are seeing discolorations and visible algal growth in your pool right now, it’s time you gave remodeling a thought.
2. A sudden drop in water level
Leakages in the pool structure can cause a sharp decline in the water level. Bad plumbing is another factor you should look out for if you witness a sudden drop in your pool water.
This will lead to substantial water loss, even if you use stoppers and pool-plugs.
And you will need immediate damage assessment and reconstruction of the damaged pool parts to curb any further loss of water.
3. Broken or stained pools
The wall and floor tiles of your pool experience a significant amount of pressure frequently, if not daily. This causes them to chip and crack with time.
However, factors such as harsh chemicals and debris can cause the tiles to corrode and lose their finish. As a result, the surface material develops stains and cracks, chipping away sooner than they should. Also, stains make your pools appear filthy and can become a breeding ground for bacteria.
4. Dated pool designs
Apart from solving your pool problems, remodeling and plastering is an excellent way of having a new pool design altogether!
Pool modeling services will provide you with a beautiful range of contemporary designs that will make your pool look prettier than before!
These modern designs will also make it easier for you to maintain your swimming pool in the near future.
So if your pool design looks unappealing to you right now, remodeling it can be the game-changing decision you make.
5. Deckside remodeling
The deck is the area that surrounds the perimeter of your pool. And you can choose to add exciting new features to it, such as an in-built BBQ, hot tubs or outdoor fireplaces!
Pool remodeling services generally extends the facility of remodeling deckside, offering fantastic additions for it.
And if we are giving you a brilliant remodeling idea right now, why not go ahead and transform that deckside right now!
What makes Central OC Pools the best Fountain Valley pool remodeling service?
Remodeling a pool can take up to several hours and even days of tough physical labor. And along with that, it requires an in-depth knowledge of the job.
That is why we at Central OC Pools bring you a team of licensed professional remodelers for the job. Not only do we solve your pool problems, but we restructure it inside and out to make it brand new!
We maintain a systematic approach to bring you the following remodeling services:
1. Design and permits
Before starting with the procedures of remodeling your pool, we duly provide you with a detailed draft of our plan. This way, we can ensure that the final outcome matches your expectations.
In fact, we even go a step further in this by bringing you a virtually real reconstructed image of your new pool. This will help you understand the procedures and point out any errors that may have occurred in the assessment.
As soon as you approve our plan of action, we will make the necessary structural sketches and apply for the permits required to start.
2. Layout and excavation
The first step to begin remodeling your pool is to dig out the land for it. We use specialized equipment for removing the soil and grass from the area. In this phase, we settle all last-minute additions and modifications regarding the pool shape and size. This way, we can ensure absolute accuracy in our remodeling process.
3. Steel framework
The next step after excavating the pool area is to lay the basic steel framework of your new pool. Our steel installation crew lays the skeletal steel structure of your pool, which forms the shape for the outer cement shell. Our team puts steel rods along the sides and at the bottom of the pool to ensure a formidable and long-lasting structure.
4. Plumbing and electrical equipment
In this stage, our experts install the electrical equipment and plumbing to the frame of your new pool. These are pressure-tested and checked for efficiency prior to installation and before they
are set with cement. Our swimming pool remodeling contractor supervises the proceedings to ensure our task-efficiency.
5. Gunite or cement application
After installing the plumbing and electrical equipment, we apply cement to the new pool framework. The gunite is mixed on-site, and it is monitored during the process for quality control. The pool takes about a week to fully dry up, post-gunite-application. During this time, water has to be periodically added to the structure to prevent it from cracking while drying up.
6. Tile and Coping
We bring you a substantial range of gorgeous stone tiles, slates, mosaics, and ceramics that cater to your individual tastes and preferences. You can also avail a variety of materials for pool coping that includes cement, natural stone, and brick.
We also extend our services for remodeling your deck. You can choose to have impressive features such as integrated BBQ units, hot tubs, saunas, and jacuzzis in this area. We will duly install the same for you. We also offer a range of materials such as custom stone or stamped concrete to redesign your deck.
We, at Central OC Pools, pride ourselves on our pool plastering team that offers the best Fountain Valley pool plastering services.
We offer facilities of draining your pool and chipping out the existing surface to lay a brand new in its place.
The plastered surface is fitted with the choice of your materials and tiles. We also duly fit any features on special requests. These can include pebbles, water features, lights, or mosaics.
Curing and refilling
The newly plastered surface is brushed twice a day and cured with the right balance of chemicals. This sets a stunningly beautiful and long-lasting finish.
We also test alkalinity, pH, calcium hardness, and metal concentrations of the new water to assess its usability.

I recently bought a house and was having problems with my pool. Plaster is coming off right and left. The owner Michael came out and gave me a quote on my pool and also walked me through what was happening to my pool. He was very patient with all of my questions. Being a first time home owner.. I'm very clueless. He went into detail about my pipes and educated me on things I didn't even know about. He explained how I can keep things a certain way for now but down the road I should consider upgrading them. Michael is VERY friendly and honest ... I told him a couple other companies that I was considering using and he gave me information about those companies as well. (I've had other companies bad mouth other people and he did no such thing). I definitely recommend booking an appointment with Michael if you are redoing your pool!CAITLIN W. - HUNTINGTON BEACH
Boy, who thought getting your pool redone could be such a pleasant experience! My wife Carol and I were referred to OC Pools by a close friend. We had recently purchased a house and wanted to spruce up our backyard pool! Central OC Pools did the job! I was very pleased with their entire team! They set out several different options for retiling our pool and communicated prices very clearly! We ended up having the pool retiled with minipebbles and abalone shells! It is so beautiful and we are so pleased with the overall job! They also clean our pool on a weekly basis! The pool always sparkles at the end of a job; the team always lets us know if an issue arises. Luckily, nothing has yet (fingers crossed)! Michael helped answer all of my questions! He was thorough and pleasant. I definitely recommend Central OC Pools for all of your future pool jobs!SCHUYLER R. - SANTA ANA
After hiring the most expensive full service pool company I could find in my neighborhood ( tustin) we quickly switched over to mikes company. The reasons 1. We were told we had an all inclusive package at $200 / month, but were billed anywhere from $25-89 extra EVERY single month. Michael has now been servicing our pool for 6 months and the only chanve in our bill was for a filter clean, which we needed, and was well documented by his staff. 2. We had service provided on average 3/4 weeks a month. We would call and nothing would be done. C.oC. pools had one guy come and just pour the chemicals in and leave without cleaning the pool. We called Mike and he came out himself with iur pool cleaner and retrained him on propper maintenance. We dont expect our pool service to be perfect, but we do expect them to be responsible when things arent correct. Mike didnt complain or make excuses. He has always made things right and our pool looks great. I really appreciate having a maintenance company that cares about us. Thanks michael (owner) and Chad (our cleaner)Raanan B.
Hands down, my experience with Central OC Pools is the best customer service experience I have ever had! Michael answered right away. I told him about my older than dirt pool pump, he asked me to take pictures of it and send it to him. He explained that my pool pump was very old and maybe even leaking, he recommended an energy efficient one that would work well with my pool. Within hours, he sent me an estimate of how much it would cost and also that he could have it installed for me the next day. NEXT DAY?! 4th of July weekend as well coming up, it was amazing that he saved the day! He was upfront about everything, what to expect, and installation and all. Michael was even nice enough to talk to my insurance company about the issues I was having with my pool pump, which I called as an insurance claim. Kelly was the actual person who came the next day to install the pool pump. He walked us through all the new features and buttons. The next day, my husband had some questions about the pump and we called Michael again. He answered right away and answered all the questions. He is such a pleasure to do business with! Payment was also so easy, it was online. Who doesn't love that! Michael is so nice, patient and accommodating! I will never call anyone else for pool servicing again! Thank you Michael and Kelly for wonderful and fast service! I will recommend you to everyone I know!ANN I.
